Non-vaccinated individuals may now enter with a negative PCR test received within 48 hours. The updated guidelines are part of reduced precautionary measures in line with the ongoing recovery phase of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prior to the announcement, non-vaccinated individuals in Abu Dhabi may only access supermarkets and pharmacies. Entry to other public places was limited to fully vaccinated individuals able to maintain their green status on the Al Hosn app.

Non-vaccinated people may now be granted access provided they are able to present a negative PCR test result issued within the past 48 hours.

Other recent changes in Abu Dhabi include allowing students to remove their face masks during playtime outdoors. However, the mask-wearing requirement still applies while indoors.
