Air Arabia is operating some UAE flights, but schedules can change quickly as fighting between the US and Iran has intensified again.

This guide covers Air Arabia PJSC flights from or via Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, normally using airline code G9. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, code 3L, is a separate carrier and is not covered here.

How to Get a Refund from Air Arabia

If you booked directly with Air Arabia

Use Air Arabia’s cancellation page or Manage Booking. A full refund is one option only for cancelled flights covered by the 17 June disruption notice or when Air Arabia confirms it for your booking.

Air Arabia’s normal voluntary cancellation terms are different for UAE itineraries. Fees apply per passenger and per flight sector, and some promotional, free or gifted tickets cannot be changed.

Basic fare: a cash refund is not included. Air Arabia says the remaining amount may be kept as credit after the applicable charge, with changes normally required at least 24 hours before departure.
Value fare: voluntary cancellation is normally allowed up to 24 hours before departure. The published UAE charges are AED 100 for credit or AED 300 for a refund to the original payment method.
Ultimate fare: voluntary cancellation is normally allowed up to eight hours before departure. The published UAE cash-refund charge is AED 200, while travel credit is listed without a cancellation fee.

Do not cancel the booking yourself before checking whether Air Arabia has already cancelled the flight. A voluntary cancellation can place the booking under normal fare rules instead of the disruption options.

If you booked through a travel agent or OTA

Air Arabia’s 17 June notice directs customers who booked through a travel agent to contact that agent for changes or refunds.
