Air India Express’s booking pages list Muscat–Kochi departures on 9, 10 and 11 September 2026 and Kochi–Muscat departures on 9 and 10 September. These are advertised itineraries collected within 48 hours, subject to availability when booked; they do not confirm completed flights.

Cities currently connected to Muscat

The eight cities below have advertised Air India Express itineraries from Muscat. Dates are booking examples checked on 7 September 2026, not a complete nonstop timetable or a guarantee of seats.

The Wego timetable retrieved on 7 September lists Air India Express IX442 Muscat–Kochi at 02:50–08:00 on 9 and 11 September, local times. It returned no mainline Air India nonstop Delhi–Muscat service; this does not prove that all Air India-marketed or connecting itineraries are unavailable.

Airspace conditions affecting Muscat routes

EASA’s current Gulf bulletin recommends avoiding the waters of the Gulf of Oman west of 58°E at all altitudes. It does not describe a lower-altitude restriction that commercial flights can simply fly above.

The bulletin, revised 31 August and valid through 30 September 2026, also recommends caution over land and up-to-date risk assessment. It does not establish a blanket closure of Muscat airport.

Other Indian Airlines Flying to Muscat

Air India Express isn’t your only option. Other carriers also operate India–Muscat flights, giving you more flexibility on routes and pricing.

eVisa options

Visa options depend on nationality, residence and supporting visas. Use the Royal Oman Police eVisa portal to identify the category for which you qualify:

• Tourist visit visa: The 26A category is for eligible Group 1 nationals; it is not a general tourist-visa category for Indian passport holders.
• Conditional tourist visa: Indian applicants must satisfy the eligibility criteria returned by the ROP portal; 26B should not be assumed to apply.
• Multiple-entry options: Availability, validity and permitted stay depend on the visa category and approval.

14-day visa-exemption eligibility

Indian citizens may qualify for visa-free entry for a maximum 14-day stay if they hold a valid entry visa or residence in one of the following countries:

• United States
• United Kingdom
• Australia
• Canada
• Japan
• Schengen member states

Eligible GCC residents in qualifying professions may also use this exemption. You need a passport valid for at least six months, return ticket, confirmed hotel reservation, health insurance and sufficient funds. The stay cannot be extended or converted to residence. • Confirm your flight before going to the airport. Air India has explicitly advised passengers not to head to the airport unless their flight is confirmed. Check your flight status on the airline’s app or website before leaving.
