Akasa Air Middle East Flight Cancellations: Refunds, Rebooking & What to Do

Last updated: Sep 7, 2026

Akasa Air refund and rebooking eligibility on Gulf routes is booking-specific — Doha, Riyadh, and Kuwait. The airline continues to advertise Jeddah service.

Here’s exactly what you’re owed and how to claim a refund or rebook.

Which Akasa Air Middle East Routes Are Affected?

Akasa advertises Mumbai–Jeddah service, but a current dated suspension or resumption notice for Doha, Riyadh, Kuwait and Abu Dhabi could not be verified on 7 September 2026. For the full route-by-route breakdown, see our Akasa Air flight status guide — here we focus on your refund and rebooking options.

Gulf Route Status

The timetable check returned no Akasa Mumbai–Doha, Mumbai–Riyadh, Mumbai–Kuwait or Mumbai–Abu Dhabi entries. An empty timetable result does not establish that a route is suspended, and a current blanket waiver was not verified:

Destination Status Refund/Rebook
Doha (DOH) Mumbai service not verified Subject to cancellation notice and applicable terms
Riyadh (RUH) Mumbai service not verified Subject to cancellation notice and applicable terms
Kuwait (KWI) Mumbai service not verified Subject to cancellation notice and applicable terms
Abu Dhabi (AUH) Mumbai service not verified Contact airline

For Kuwait airport status, airport access and an individual airline’s flight programme are separate questions. No Akasa restart date is asserted here.

Akasa Air Refund and Cancellation Policy

What you’re entitled to depends on whether Akasa cancels your flight, a waiver covers your ticket, or you choose to cancel voluntarily.

Disrupted Bookings (Doha, Riyadh, Kuwait)

If Akasa cancels your flight, request the applicable refund or alternative flight. Do not assume a route-wide waiver applies to every ticket:

  • Refund — the amount and method depend on applicable law and the cancellation circumstances; Akasa’s terms contain specific force-majeure provisions
  • Rescheduling — alternative flights are subject to availability; fee or fare-difference waivers must cover your booking

A current dated crisis-waiver deadline could not be verified from the Akasa Air website. Do not rely on the expired April announcements as authority for a fee-free September cancellation.

Standard Policy (Jeddah and Other Bookings)

For bookings not covered by an applicable waiver, Akasa Air’s standard cancellation policy applies:

  • Fee-free cancellation or amendment within 48 hours for direct website bookings made at least 15 days before an international departure (7 days for domestic flights); a fare difference can still apply to amendments (per DGCA rules)
  • After that, cancellation fees apply and rise the closer you are to departure
  • DGCA requires credit-card refunds within 7 days of cancellation, immediate refunds for cash purchases at the airline office, and completion within 14 working days for agent/portal bookings

Statutory taxes — UDF, ADF, and PSF — are always refundable, even on non-refundable fares.

How to Claim Your Refund or Rebook

You can process a refund or date change through three channels:

  • Online: go to akasaair.com/manage-booking, select your booking, and choose a refund or date change
  • Phone: call the Akasa Care Centre at +91 9606112131, available 24/7
  • Travel agent: if you booked through an agent or travel portal, contact them directly — refunds are processed through the original booking channel

Act quickly once a flight is suspended, and check live status daily on the Akasa Air flight tracker on Wego, because flight status can change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get a full refund on my Akasa Air Middle East flight right now?

A full refund depends on the cancellation circumstances and applicable rules; a current blanket waiver for Doha, Riyadh and Kuwait has not been verified. If you cancel a flight that still operates, the standard fare rules may apply.

How do I claim a refund or rebook my flight?

Go to akasaair.com/manage-booking, select your booking, and choose a refund or date change. You can also call the Akasa Care Centre at +91 9606112131 (24/7). If you booked through an agent, contact them directly.

Is Akasa Air still flying to Jeddah?

Akasa advertises direct Mumbai–Jeddah service. The latest Wego timetable returned QP561 daily and QP552 on six days for 31 August–6 September 2026. That confirms a recent published schedule, not seats for a future date or proof that each flight operated.

Will Akasa Air resume Doha, Riyadh, and Kuwait flights soon?

A current resumption date could not be verified. The timetable check returned no Akasa services from Mumbai to these three destinations; that result alone does not prove suspension or predict a restart.

Does Akasa Air fly to Dubai?

No. Dubai is not listed in Akasa’s published direct network. Its advertised Middle East destinations include Jeddah, Doha, Riyadh, Kuwait, and Abu Dhabi; an advertised destination does not confirm current service on a particular date. For Dubai flights from India, check options on Wego.
