How to reach and what to pack
The nearest airport is Srinagar International Airport, about 96 km from Pahalgam and 95 km from Baltal. The nearest major railhead is Jammu Tawi, roughly 315 km from Pahalgam by road.
Pilgrims flying in from Delhi or Mumbai usually route through Srinagar, then take a taxi to their chosen base camp. Book your stay early, as rooms fill fast during the season.
