Wego learned that this policy change extends the existing visa-free access previously only granted to citizens of the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait. Now, all passport holders from the GCC and individuals holding a valid residency permit issued by any of the Gulf countries can enjoy this visa-free privilege.

Under the new regulations, eligible residents can stay in Armenia for up to 180 days within a 12-month period without the need for a visa. This move is part of Armenia’s broader strategy to boost tourism and attract foreign investment by simplifying travel procedures for visitors from key partner countries.

The Armenian government anticipates that this initiative will strengthen economic and cultural ties with the aforementioned regions, fostering increased tourism and business exchanges.
