“Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home” – Matsuo Batso. So concludes an epic video account of a journey that took three years and covered 60 countries.

“We call this home” documents the adventures of New York City-based photographer Walter Chang, who quit his job in 2011 and set out for what he thought would be a three month trip. The video is enough to give you goosebumps and you can’t help but marvel at just how many experiences Chang packed into those three years.

Apart from having probably a lot more Facebook friends than you and I, you have to marvel at his courage to sell all his belongings, saving money by staying with friends and preparing for what is definitely a trip of a lifetime, or perhaps a lifetime of trips! Chang said he planned the journey for quite some time before taking off, however he didn’t expect he’d be still travelling three years later.

“I trekked amazing landscapes, checked off the bucket list, hitchhiked, slept anywhere I could, and made countless friends,” said Chang. “These are my memories.”

We got fairly caught up in Chang’s website too checking out all the destinations featured in the video. We think the ‘feet’ montage was really clever. Watch it, and get inspired.
