Business Class Ticket Price From India to Canada (2026): Live Fares by City and Airline

Last updated: Aug 7, 2026

What business class from India to Canada actually costs, city by city

A one-way business class ticket from India to Canada costs between $1,767 and $4,516. The price depends on which Indian city you fly from, and whether you can get a nonstop seat.

These are live fares from real searches on Wego on 7 August 2026, one adult, one-way, departing 20 September 2026. We checked business class fares from six Indian cities to Toronto.

Amritsar gets its own entry despite its size. It carries an outsized share of India-Canada travel, thanks to a large Punjabi diaspora in Canada.

Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai cluster together near $1,770 to $1,870. All three connect through Delhi, or a similar one-stop routing, on a full-service carrier.

Delhi and Amritsar sit apart, for opposite reasons. Delhi has a genuine nonstop, which lets it charge a premium; Amritsar has no direct routing at all, and pays in travel time instead. If you’re not flying from Delhi, expect to add one stop and save a few hundred dollars.

Why does Air Canada’s nonstop cost almost double Air India’s?

Delhi is the only Indian city with more than one nonstop option to Canada. Air India and Air Canada both fly it nonstop, but the two fares aren’t close.

Air India flies Delhi-Toronto nonstop on a new Boeing 787-9, a change that took effect 1 August 2026. Its cheapest business fare on our sample date was $2,470.

Air Canada flies the same city pair nonstop too, on a Boeing 777, on one of its longest scheduled routes. Its cheapest business fare was $4,516, 83% more than Air India’s for the same nonstop convenience.

Route length explains part of the gap. Air Canada’s Delhi-Toronto flight avoids Russian airspace, which lengthens it, while Air India’s nonstop still overflies Russia.

Etihad’s one-stop connection through Abu Dhabi undercuts Air Canada’s nonstop by more than half, for the same lie-flat cabin. If price matters more than flight time here, the one-stop is the better deal.

Is there a cheaper way to reach Canada from Delhi or Mumbai?

Delhi also flies nonstop to Vancouver on Air India, and that fare priced lower still, at $2,281. If your Canadian city is flexible, it’s worth pricing separately.

Mumbai doesn’t have its own nonstop yet. Air India starts a seasonal Mumbai-Toronto nonstop on 25 October 2026, three times weekly on a Boeing 777-300ER with 40 business flat-beds, running through 26 March 2027.

Every Mumbai fare in this piece, sampled before that date, still connects through Delhi. Once the new route opens, recheck Mumbai fares directly, since a nonstop may undercut today’s one-stop price.

What you actually get in the cabin

“Business class” covers a range of hardware on this corridor. Every seat below is lie-flat except one, and that one depends on the aircraft.

Airline Cabin Seat type What you should know

Air Canada Signature Class Lie-flat Flown on the Boeing 777, on one of Air Canada’s longest routes.
Etihad Business Studio Lie-flat, 1-2-1 Flown on the 787-9, A350 or A380, depending on the day.
Qatar Airways Qsuite Lie-flat, with sliding doors Flown on the A350 or 777.
British Airways Club Suite / Club World Lie-flat Flown on the 777, 787 or A350, depending on the route.
Emirates Business Angle-flat on most 777s; lie-flat on the A380 and newest 777s Check the specific aircraft before booking. See the note below.
Emirates business class isn’t always a lie-flat bed

Most of Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER fleet still uses an older business seat that reclines to about 166 degrees rather than lying fully flat. Only the A380 and Emirates’ newest 777s carry a genuine lie-flat bed.

If a flat bed is the reason you’re paying for business class, check the aircraft type shown at booking rather than assuming Emirates delivers one on every flight.

Fares hold near $3,750 to $3,813 from September through November, then drop by about 16% and stay there from December through June, bottoming out at $3,195 in mid-February.

At roughly ₹95.2 to the US dollar as of 6 August 2026, the gap between the cheapest and priciest month we tested works out to about ₹58,800 one-way.

How to bring the price down

  • Check Hyderabad, Bengaluru or Mumbai before Delhi. Each priced several hundred dollars below Delhi’s nonstop, for one added stop.
  • Price the round trip, not just one-way. Air Canada’s one-way nonstop fare on our sample date exceeded its own round-trip fare by hundreds of dollars.
  • Consider Vancouver if your plans allow it. Air India’s Delhi-Vancouver nonstop priced lower than either Delhi-Toronto nonstop we found.
  • Watch for Mumbai’s new nonstop from 25 October 2026. The seasonal service may open a cheaper direct option for western India.
  • Check which Emirates aircraft you’d be flying. Only the A380 and newest 777s have a true lie-flat seat; older 777s recline to an angle instead.
  • Set a price alert on Wego rather than checking manually. Long-haul business inventory on this corridor is thin, and fares move quickly.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest business class ticket from India to Canada?

$1,767 one-way from Hyderabad. That’s for a two-stop Air India and British Airways routing via Mumbai and London, for a 20 September 2026 departure searched on 7 August 2026. Fares change daily.

Does any airline fly nonstop from India to Canada?

Yes. Air India flies nonstop from Delhi to both Toronto and Vancouver, and Air Canada flies Delhi to Toronto nonstop too. Air India adds a seasonal Mumbai-Toronto nonstop from 25 October 2026.

Is there a direct flight from Amritsar to Canada?

Not currently. The last through-fare service, Neos’s Amritsar-Milan-Toronto route, was suspended in October 2025 and hasn’t resumed. Amritsar travellers currently connect through Delhi or a Gulf hub.

Why is Air Canada’s nonstop more expensive than Air India’s?

Partly a route-length problem. Air Canada’s Delhi-Toronto flight avoids Russian airspace, which lengthens the route, while Air India’s nonstop still overflies it. Air India also has no direct nonstop competitor undercutting its fare.

Is Emirates business class always a lie-flat bed?

Not on every aircraft. Most of Emirates’ 777-300ER fleet still uses an angle-flat seat that doesn’t lie fully horizontal. Only the A380 and its newest 777s carry a genuine lie-flat bed.

When is business class from India to Canada cheapest?

December through June, in our sample. That stretch priced roughly 16% below the September-November level, with mid-February the cheapest month we found, at $3,195 round trip on Air Canada’s Delhi-Toronto nonstop.
