Bad hair day? Well we found a place where you might actually win a competition for that. At Takhini Hot Pools, located in the Yukon in north-western Canada, a unique competition is held each year requiring guests to create the craziest frozen hairdo possible.

While you’re luxuriating in the warm, natural hot spring water, it remains around -30 C (-22 F) outside which is apparently the optimum temperature for freezing wet locks.

If you’re game, diary yourself in for a trip to Canada next February. Lay down your own frozen hair challenge, and top it off with spectacular views of the northern lights amongst 300 acres of pristine wilderness.

The winning team picked up $150 in cash and world-wide fame as these images went viral.
