If you were considering visiting the Land of the Red Dragon to celebrate the last few moments of the year—you are in luck. China is set to extend a warm welcome to people of 9 nations to enter its lands visa-free in November and December, Wego reports.
The Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Deputy Director General, Department of Press, Communication and Public Diplomacy of China, Lin Jian 林剑, revealed on 1 November 2024 that China has decided to apply a visa-free policy to more countries to promote cross-border travel.

The visa-free policy will begin on Friday, 8 November 2024, and continue until Tuesday, 31 December 2025. Visa-free access is only applicable for tourism, business, family visits, and transit purposes for no more than 15 days from the date of entry.
Ordinary passport holders of the following countries will be eligible for visa-free entry to China:
- Andorra
- Denmark
- Finland
- Iceland
- Liechtenstein
- Monaco
- Norway
- Slovakia
- South Korea
