A one-way business class ticket from Delhi to Dubai ranges from $655 on IndiGo’s recliner seat to $1,006 on Emirates’ lie-flat seat, for the same nonstop route on the same day.
These are live fares from real searches on Wego on 7 August 2026, for a 20 September 2026 departure. We checked every airline flying Delhi to Dubai nonstop.

The $351 gap between IndiGo and Emirates on this identical nonstop route is really a gap between two different products. IndiGo’s fare buys a wide recliner seat, while Emirates’ fare buys a fully flat bed.
Whether that gap is worth paying depends on what you plan to do with the flight. We cover that below.
Is the connection actually cheaper?
Business class shoppers usually assume the nonstop is the price to beat and a connection is strictly a downgrade. On this route, on this date, that assumption was wrong.

Saudia’s connection through Jeddah undercuts every nonstop on the route, IndiGo included, by $76. Gulf Air’s stop in Bahrain beats IndiGo too, by $19.
Both take much longer: about six hours more on Saudia and three and a half hours more on Gulf Air.
Neither carrier’s connecting cabin is guaranteed to match the nonstop options, so treat the saving as real but conditional on accepting a longer day.
If you’d rather minimise time in the air than minimise spend, the nonstop options above are still the better choice.
What you actually get for the money
The fare alone does not tell you which seat you are buying. On this route it depends heavily on which airline, and for one carrier, which aircraft.

The cheapest and priciest months to fly
We ran the same nonstop business class search for a round trip departing the middle of each month, with a seven-night stay, across the next twelve months.
The pattern is unusually clean for this route. IndiGo Stretch set the floor every single month, never Air India or flydubai.
September 2026 was the cheapest month we found, at $391 round trip. The floor then climbs through autumn and plateaus at $710 for four straight months, December through March.
It eases back down through spring and summer.
While IndiGo’s floor swung from $391 to $710 across the year, a spread of 82 percent, Emirates’ round-trip fare stayed inside a $1,583 to $1,632 band on every month we could confirm, a spread of about 3 percent.
Emirates prices this route about the same in December as in June. The swings on this route are mostly about IndiGo’s seat availability, not overall demand.
How to bring the price down
- Check IndiGo Stretch before anything else. It was the cheapest nonstop business seat on every month we tested, often by a wide margin.
- Decide if you need the bed. On a flight under four hours, a recliner is a reasonable trade for a few hundred dollars. On red-eye departures, flydubai’s lie-flat cabin is the better-priced way to get a flat seat than Emirates.
- Ask which aircraft Air India is flying. The Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 are lie-flat; its A320neo and A321 planes on this route generally are not.
- Weigh the Saudia and Gulf Air connections on their merits. Both undercut every nonstop on our sample date, but both add three and a half to six and a half hours.
- Avoid booking December through March if your dates are flexible. That four-month stretch was the most expensive window we found, at roughly 80 percent above the September floor.
- Set a price alert on Wego rather than checking manually. Premium cabin inventory on this corridor moves quickly.
