After several discussions over the course of one year, the Danish government has finally increased the cost of the application fee for citizenship. In a recent statement, the Ministry of Immigration and Integration of Denmark confirmed that the fee for applying for Danish citizenship would increase from 4,000 Danish Krone (€536) to 6,000 Danish Krone (€804), Wego reports.

The Danish Government, in collaboration with the Liberal Alliance, has decided to increase the fee for foreigners seeking Danish citizenship. This decision aligns the fee structure with the actual cost of processing citizenship applications.
