Disney aficionados and fun connoisseurs, cheer! Disney is set to open a brand new theme park and resort in the UAE in collaboration with Miral, the leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi, Wego reports.

A whole new world, a dazzling place of fun, adventures, and memories to be made—a Walt Disney World will be ready for adventurers and jolly makers to explore and make their own in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The theme park and resort will merge Disney’s iconic stories, the characters, and the attractions based around them, with the rich culture and shorelines of Abu Dhabi.
His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman at Miral, said, “Abu Dhabi is a place where heritage meets innovation … The collaboration between Abu Dhabi and Disney demonstrates the remarkable results of combining visionary leadership and creative excellence. … Through the development of unique attractions and experiences, Abu Dhabi continues to be a destination of choice for the world.”
Disney CEO Bob Iger described the upcoming resort as “authentically Disney and distinctly Emirati,” promising an innovative fusion of Disney’s storytelling with Abu Dhabi’s cultural richness and modern architectural aesthetics.
Disney World Abu Dhabi will be Disney’s first resort in the Middle East and seventh global destination. The opening dates are yet to be revealed. We will update you as soon as more information is made available.
