Is Wizz Air flying from Abu Dhabi again?
Yes. Six routes are loaded for sale from Zayed International Airport, starting on 25 or 27 October depending on the route. That is three quarters of everything Wizz Air is putting back into the UAE.
Is Wizz Air flying from Dubai as well?
Yes. Two routes are loaded for sale from Dubai International, both starting on Sunday 25 October. They are sold by Wizz Air’s European operations rather than by any UAE-based airline.
Is Wizz Air Abu Dhabi coming back as an airline?
No. The Abu Dhabi joint venture with ADQ closed on 1 September 2025 and has not been revived. Every returning flight is sold by Wizz Air Hungary or Wizz Air Malta, the airline’s European operations.
When do the flights start?
The first departures are on Sunday 25 October, the day the airline industry’s winter timetable begins. Routes that do not fly on Sundays open on the Tuesday instead. Seats are already on sale.
What about the Jeddah and Amman flights in the same announcement?
Wizz Air named Jeddah and Amman alongside the two UAE cities, for 12 routes and 49 weekly flights in total, and about 470,000 seats across the winter. This page prices only the UAE departures, so fares stay comparable in one currency.

How these figures were produced
- Every route was checked against live Wego inventory rather than taken from a press report, because Wizz Air published no route list.
- Operating days come from probing each route on all seven days of 16 to 22 November 2026, a clean week clear of the opening fortnight. Wego’s timetable feed returns nothing for a route that has not started flying, so it cannot be used here.
- Start dates come from probing 19 to 27 October on every route. Every route first sells on 25 or 27 October, and every probed day before its own start date came back empty.
- Each fare is that route’s opening-day price, and its link opens that same day filtered to Wizz Air, so the number on the row is the number the search returns. Wego cannot price a route without a departure date, and its undated route pages cannot be narrowed to one airline, which is why the links carry a date. Fares are a snapshot and will move, and Wego adds a minimum payment fee once payment types are set, so a signed-in reader may see a few dirhams more than the row.
- Abu Dhabi to Bucharest was checked and dropped: no nonstop Wizz Air service appeared on any of the seven days.
- The feed lists one physical flight twice on some dates, once without an aircraft type and at a higher price. Those duplicates were removed before counting.
