What is the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2022?

The Dubai Fitness Challenge was an initiative taken up by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum back in 2017. The month-long festival is dedicated to a healthy lifestyle, exercise, and wellbeing. The fitness festival was established with a vision to make Dubai one of the most active cities in the world.

Exciting fitness activities and entertainment will inspire Dubai residents to find the exercise of their choice. Participants of all ages and abilities will be able to do nearly 30 minutes of heart-pumping activity every day for 30 days.

Dubai Fitness Challenge 2022 dates

The fifth edition this year begins on Friday, 29 October 2022 and will last until Saturday, 27 November 2022.

Upcoming activities at DFC 2022

Dubai Fitness Challenge 2022 will be sporting several fitness activities. So far, here are the events in DFC 2022 that have been confirmed:

Dubai Run

One of the highlights of the Dubai Fitness Challenge is the Dubai Run. Runners of all ages and abilities will be given an opportunity to run along the Sheikh Zayed expressway on Friday, 26 November. The route will commence next to the Emirates Towers Metro Station with a 5km track for families and a 10km track for professional athletes. The finishing line will be located at Al Mustaqbal Street near the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Dubai Women Run

The Dubai Fitness Challenge 30×30 program for this year includes the biggest women’s athletic competition in the Arab world. 6,000 women from all walks of life are expected to participate in this year’s Dubai Women’s Run on November 13 on Bluewaters Island.

Dubai Ride

Another popular event is the Dubai Ride launched by DP World, which will be held on Friday, 6 November 2022. Amateur and professional cyclists will encounter the city’s best roads and landmarks on two wheels. The general route will consist of five locations around Sheikh Zayed Road and Lower Financial Centre Road with a distance of 14km.

Families will also be allowed to experience the ride at a 4 km course, with a panoramic route around Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard and Burj Khalifa. The race is free to attend, but registration will be compulsory for all participants.

DFC Fitness villages

Kite Beach Fitness Village

Opening in 29 October, the Kite Beach Fitness Village is a must-visit for you and your family to have fun and get fit. There are plenty of free and paid activities that you can participate in, such as aerobics, boxing, football, yoga, rowing, and more. It will open from 7 am to 11 pm at the weekend and from 3pm to 11pm on weekdays.

There are two main activities in this village that you can enjoy, Dubai Chamber Aqua Parks Leisure where you can immerse on a special 30×30 offer of 30 minutes in the water for only AED 30 and the brand new Cricket Arena where you can participate in a tournament or book for your own game with your friends.

Last Exit Al Khawaneej Fitness Village

Located in the ranch-themed Last Exist, this fitness village is the perfect place family to work towards their fitness goal in 30 days and savor the healthy and scrumptious meals from the Last Exit’s well-known food trucks.

It will open on 29 October with five different fitness zones. It will open from 4 pm every day until 11 pm on Sunday to Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. You can enjoy super fun and intensive ride classes, ladies-only fitness studio, or high-energy rebounder sessions. Children can also get a taste of martial arts, and yoga, and enjoy dance, Zumba and boot camps.

More events and class times are soon to be announced as the date gets closer to the opening date.
