Egypt has launched a new five-year multiple-entry visa for Algerian citizens, allowing stays of up to 180 days per visit with no cap on the number of entries during the validity period.
The new long-term visa was announced by Egypt’s embassy in Algiers on 12 April 2026 via the embassy’s official Facebook page, replacing the need for Algerians to repeatedly apply for short-stay tourist visas.
Visa Validity and Eligibility
The visa is valid for five continuous years from the date of issue, according to the embassy’s official statement.
During that five-year window, you can enter and exit Egypt an unlimited number of times without needing to reapply.

Who can apply and how
The visa is open to all Algerian nationals holding a valid Algerian passport, according to the embassy.
Applications are processed through the Egyptian embassy in Algiers at 08 Chemin Abdelkader Gadouche, Hydra.
Applicants should prepare:
- A valid Algerian passport with at least 6 months remaining validity
- Recent bank statements or proof of sufficient funds
- A completed visa application form
- Recent passport-sized photographs
- Supporting documents (employer letter, hotel booking, or invitation) depending on travel purpose
