The US–Iran conflict that erupted on 28 February 2026 forced Middle East airspace to shut down, grounding thousands of flights — including Emirates services between Dubai and Cochin International Airport. Emirates Flights to Kochi: What’s Operating Right Now

Emirates normally operates 14 flights per week between Dubai and Kochi (COK). That frequency has been reduced since the conflict began, though the route is active and flights are departing.

The airline’s two main Kochi services — EK531/EK532 and EK533/EK534 — are operating between Dubai International (DXB) and Cochin International Airport (COK). The flight time is approximately 4 hours in each direction.

However, short-notice cancellations remain a risk. Emirates is operating at roughly 70% of its pre-conflict capacity from DXB, and airspace restrictions over the Gulf can still trigger disruptions at short notice.

Emirates has extended its crisis-specific flexible rebooking and refund policy to cover flights with travel dates through 30 April 2026. If your Kochi flight falls within this window, you have real options.

New Bookings: One Free Date Change

In addition to the crisis waiver, Emirates is offering one complimentary date change on all tickets issued from 2 April 2026 onwards — across all cabin classes. Fare differences may still apply, and changes must be within ticket validity.
