Emirates is launching a new daily route to Helsinki — its first-ever year-round link to Finland — from 1 October 2026, according to the airline’s official announcement.
It comes alongside extra daily flights to Copenhagen, Phuket and Cape Town, plus a fifth daily service to Cairo from its Dubai hub.
Emirates Helsinki: first year-round route to Finland
Helsinki becomes a new Emirates destination from 1 October 2026, served by a daily A350 flight.
It is the only year-round, direct link between Finland and the UAE. Until now, Finnish travellers connected through Emirates’ other Nordic gateways.
The schedule is built for onward connections through Dubai to Asia, Africa and all five Australian cities on the network.

- EK168 (Helsinki–Dubai): departs Helsinki 16:45, arrives Dubai 00:20 the next day

Additional flights and frequencies
Emirates is adding extra daily frequencies on three popular routes, all operated by the A350 with Premium Economy on board.
The additional flights add capacity ahead of the peak summer travel season.
- Copenhagen: second daily service from 1 June. EK153 departs Dubai 14:50, arrives 19:45; EK154 departs Copenhagen 21:35, arrives Dubai 05:55 the next day.
- Phuket: third daily service from 1 July. EK390 departs Dubai 22:40, arrives 08:10 next day; EK391 departs Phuket 10:00, arrives Dubai 13:05.
- Cape Town: third daily flight from 1 July. EK778 departs Dubai 10:25, arrives 18:05; EK779 departs Cape Town 20:00, arrives Dubai 07:25 the next day.
The extra Phuket flight lands early morning, ideal for connections from European cities such as London, Paris and Frankfurt, per the airline’s schedule.
Emirates also scaled its Dubai–Cairo route to five daily flights from 1 February 2026, making Cairo the most-served city on its Africa network.
The new frequency is operated by a Boeing 777 and timed for onward connections to Asia.

Cairo already has the highest deployment of Emirates A380s in the Middle East and North Africa outside Dubai.
