Emirates has announced it will resume flights to Damascus starting 16 July 2025, restoring essential air connectivity to Syria’s capital for the first time since operations were suspended in 2012.

Wego reports the airline will operate three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, expanding to four weekly services from 2 August with an additional flight on Saturdays. Daily flights will commence from 26 October 2025.

The route will be served by Emirates’ Boeing 777-200LR, featuring 38 Business Class and 264 Economy Class seats:

  • Dubai to Damascus: Flight EK913 will depart Dubai at 12:00, arriving in Damascus at 14:10 (local times).
  • Damascus to Dubai: Flight EK914 will depart Damascus at 16:30, landing in Dubai at 20:30 (local times).

The reinstated flights aim to support Syria’s economic recovery, offering convenient connections for the Syrian diaspora from the Americas, Europe, and the GCC. Additionally, the flights will boost trade and investment opportunities in key sectors such as energy, agriculture, and construction.

Passengers flying between Dubai and Damascus will enjoy convenient access to Emirates’ extensive global network through the airline’s codeshare partnership with flydubai, providing additional flight options and smoother connectivity.
