Etihad Guest is the official Etihad Airways loyalty program for frequent flyers.
It allows members to earn miles every time they fly with Etihad or partner airlines, as well as through everyday spending with lifestyle and banking partners. Those miles can later be redeemed for flights, upgrades, and a variety of rewards.

Join the Etihad Guest program
Follow these steps to join Etihad Guest for free:
- Visit the Etihad Guest registration page or download the Etihad Airways mobile app.
- Click on Join Etihad Guest.
- Fill in your personal details, including name, email, and nationality.
- Create a password and confirm your account.
Once enrolled, you’ll receive a digital membership card and Etihad Guest number, which you should enter every time you book a flight to ensure your miles are credited.

Etihad Guest has five membership tiers. The table below shows the standard qualification requirements for each:

Important: Flying on Etihad-operated or partner airline flights is now the only way to extend your Guest Miles expiry date. Purchasing miles, transferring points, or earning through non-flight partners no longer resets the 18-month clock.

Flights
- Flying with Etihad Airways: Earnings are based on fare class, cabin, and distance flown. Higher tiers earn bonuses. Use Etihad’s Miles Calculator to estimate earnings for your route and fare.
- Partner airlines: Earn miles with codeshare and partner airlines globally.
Everyday spending
- Credit cards: Earn miles with co-branded credit cards from UAE and GCC banks, including First Abu Dhabi Bank and Emirates NBD.
- Dining & shopping: Earn miles by dining at participating restaurants, shopping duty-free in Abu Dhabi, or using the Etihad Guest shopping portal. Earn rates vary by partner and promotion — see the Rewards page for current offers.

- Car rentals: Earn approximately 250 to 500 miles per day when booking through partners like Avis and Budget.
Earn Tier Miles
Tier Miles track your progress toward higher status in the loyalty program. They are different from the Guest Miles you redeem for flights or hotels — Tier Miles can only be used to determine your elite status tier.
How to earn:
- Etihad flights: Earn Tier Miles based on distance flown and cabin class.
- Partner airlines: Many flights on Etihad’s partner airlines also earn Tier Miles (rules vary by partner).
- Cabin bonus: Premium cabins (Business and First) earn more Tier Miles per flight.

Family membership
- Add up to 9 people to your family membership (all must be Etihad Guest members).
- Each member earns miles individually, then pools them into one shared balance.
- A nominated family head can redeem miles for everyone, or members can spend them individually.
Boost your Miles balance
BuyMiles lets you purchase Guest Miles to reach redemptions sooner. You can buy up to 200,000 miles per year, or 300,000 miles if you hold Platinum status. If you use your Etihad Guest Visa card for the purchase, you’ll earn miles on that transaction as well.
MilesBooster: Boost Flights
MilesBooster lets you earn up to three times the miles from Etihad flights you’ve taken in the past 12 months, up to a maximum of 150,000 extra miles per year. You’ll see a list of eligible past flights in your account and can choose which ones to boost.
MilesBooster: Boost Other Miles
Boost miles earned through your Etihad Guest Visa card, hotel stays, car rentals, and other partners over the past 6 months, up to 150,000 miles annually. Using your Etihad Guest Visa card earns additional miles on each boost transaction.

Do I start earning miles immediately?
Yes, you earn miles from your very first eligible flight or partner activity after joining Etihad Guest.

What’s the difference between Guest Miles and Tier Miles?
Guest Miles are your spending currency — redeem them for flights, upgrades, hotels, and more. Tier Miles only count toward your elite status level (Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald) and cannot be redeemed.
Do Etihad Guest Miles expire?
For Bronze, Silver, and Gold members, miles expire after 18 months of no qualifying flight activity. Only flying on Etihad or a partner airline resets the clock — purchasing miles or transferring points no longer extends the expiry date. Platinum and Emerald members’ miles do not expire.

Are tier qualification thresholds reduced right now?
Yes. From 18 March 2026 until 31 March 2027, Etihad Guest has reduced Silver, Gold, and Platinum qualification thresholds by 25%. The reduction applies automatically — no registration needed. The Emerald tier is not included.
