The Two New Routes
Etihad added both destinations to its growing European network this June. Kraków launched on 11 June 2026 and Palma de Mallorca followed on 12 June 2026.

Both routes use the Airbus A321LR, a single-aisle jet fitted with a three-cabin layout. It is the same premium narrowbody Etihad uses on other long, leisure-focused routes.

- Economy: 144 seats with 4K touchscreens and onboard Wi-Fi
Etihad is the only airline offering a First cabin on direct flights between the Gulf and either city.
Why These Routes Matter
The Palma service is the first scheduled direct link between the Balearic Islands and the Middle East. Until now, travellers between the two regions had to connect through another European hub.
For Gulf-based travellers, both routes open up nonstop summer access to two popular holiday spots — Kraków’s old town and Mallorca’s beaches.
They also feed Etihad’s wider network. Passengers from South Asia, Southeast Asia and the wider Middle East can now reach both cities with a single stop in Abu Dhabi.
CEO Antonoaldo Neves called the additions “a proof point of Etihad’s ambitions in Europe,” describing Kraków and Palma de Mallorca as “two of the continent’s most captivating destinations.”
