What Is the FIFA Fan ID in 2026?
Officially called the FIFA ID, it is a free digital account that every FIFA World Cup 2026 ticket holder needs. You create it once on FIFA.com — or in the official tournament app — and use it to buy tickets, receive your digital match passes and manage transfers.
The tournament runs from 11 June to 19 July 2026 across the United States, Canada and Mexico, so every ticket holder still needs one to access matches.
Unlike the Russia 2018 Fan ID and the Qatar 2022 Hayya Card, the 2026 FIFA ID is not a visa-waiver entry document. It links tickets to you — it does not grant the right to enter the United States, Canada or Mexico.
Tickets held in your FIFA ID account are the only ones guaranteed to grant stadium entry. Tickets bought outside FIFA’s official platform carry a real risk of being voided at the gate.
How to Create Your FIFA ID
The process is straightforward and takes only a few minutes:
- Go to FIFA.com or open the official FIFA World Cup 2026 app, and select Sign Up.
- Enter your details — full name as on your passport, date of birth, email and a strong password.
- Verify your email via the confirmation link FIFA sends you.
- Complete your profile with nationality, mobile number and passport details, including your passport number and expiry date.
- Log in to access ticket sales, transfer options and tournament services.
Use the exact spelling on your passport. Name mismatches can block ticket transfers and stadium entry on match day. You must be at least 13 to create a FIFA ID and 18 to buy tickets on your own.
Does the FIFA Fan ID Replace a Visa?
No. The FIFA ID does not waive, replace or shortcut any entry requirement for the three host countries.
You still need the standard travel authorisation for each country whose matches you plan to attend:
