flydubai‘s first flight to Benghazi has landed. On 17 June 2026, the Dubai-based carrier became the first UAE airline to operate direct flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Benghazi Benina International Airport (BEN).
The inaugural arrival was marked with a water-cannon salute, confirming the launch Wego reported back in May. The route is now live.

flydubai operates the route three times a week — Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays — from Terminal 3 at Dubai International.

Why the new route matters
Benghazi is the first UAE link to eastern Libya, opening a direct channel for trade, business travel and family visits between the Gulf and the region.
