EASA’s active advisory, valid until 30 September unless reviewed earlier, recommends avoiding specified airspace over Persian Gulf waters within the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar flight information regions except as necessary for arrivals and departures, and advises caution over land.

Saudi authorities reported Houthi missile and drone attacks involving Khamis Mushait, Abha and Jazan on 9 September, with related official reporting also identifying Najran and civilian and economic infrastructure. No official nationwide Saudi airspace or airport closure had been announced at this update, and flydubai’s operational-updates page did not list a route-wide Saudi cancellation.

Your Options: Rebook or Request a Refund

When flydubai cancels or makes a qualifying schedule change, its policy provides rebooking or a refund. The exact triggers differ depending on whether the change occurs more or less than 72 hours before departure.

If you’re at Dubai International Airport (DXB)

Check your booking confirmation for the terminal. Most flydubai flights use Terminal 2 at DXB, while selected flights use Terminal 3 or Dubai World Central. Terminal 3 flight numbers have four digits beginning with 1.

Under the UAE GCAA Passenger Welfare Program, care for airline-cancelled flights can include refreshments, meals, hotel accommodation and transport, as appropriate.

The rule applies to transit flights and flights not originating in the passenger’s home city. Ask the airline before paying yourself and keep receipts for any agreed expenses.

If you’re stranded outside Dubai
