Last updated: May 15, 2026

flydubai will launch direct flights between Dubai and Benghazi on 17 June 2026, marking the airline’s first direct route to Libya.

Here’s what flydubai has confirmed about the schedule, fares, and onboard experience.

When Flights Start and How Often

According to flydubai’s announcement on 14 May 2026, the inaugural DubaiBenghazi service departs on 17 June 2026, with three flights a week from Terminal 3 at Dubai International (DXB) to Benghazi’s Benina International Airport (BEN).

The airline says it is the first UAE carrier to operate direct flights between Dubai and Benghazi.

How Much Tickets Cost

At the time of flydubai’s announcement, return fares from Dubai to Benghazi started from AED 4,500 in Economy Lite and AED 10,500 in Business Class.

Return fares from Benghazi started from USD 800 (Economy Lite) and USD 2,500 (Business Class). Fares are subject to availability and can change without notice.

Economy Lite is generally flydubai’s entry-level economy fare. Travellers should check current baggage, seat selection, and change rules in the fare conditions on flydubai.com during booking.

The Aircraft and Flight Experience

flydubai will operate the route with its Boeing 737 fleet. The airline runs an all-737 fleet across its network, and the specific aircraft assigned to each Benghazi service may vary by date.

The nonstop journey takes around five and a half hours. Many flydubai Boeing 737 aircraft offer Business and Economy cabins, but aircraft and cabin layout may vary by date.

Onboard services such as Wi-Fi, live TV, entertainment, and meal options may vary by aircraft, fare type, and route. Check the latest options for your flight on flydubai.com during booking.

Passengers may be able to connect to Benghazi via flydubai’s hub at Dubai International from other points across its network, subject to live schedules and booking availability.

Travelling to Libya: What to Know

Entry requirements for Libya vary by nationality and have changed several times in recent years.

Travellers should check current visa and document rules with the nearest Libyan embassy or consulate, Libyan authorities, the airline, and their home country’s foreign ministry well before booking.

Beyond visa rules, travellers should also consult their own government’s Libya travel advisory before booking — several governments, including the UK FCDO, continue to advise against all but essential travel to Benghazi due to ongoing security risks.

How to Book

Per flydubai, tickets are available on flydubai.com, the official flydubai App, the UAE Contact Centre on +971 600 54 44 45, flydubai travel shops, and travel partners.
