How to Use FTI-TTP at Indian Airports
Once your registration is active, using FTI-TTP at the airport is straightforward.
- Look for the dedicated FTI-TTP e-gate lane at immigration (separate from regular counters).
- At the first e-gate, scan your passport and boarding pass.
- At the second e-gate, look at the camera for facial recognition.
- The gate opens once verification clears. The full process takes under a minute.
You will not receive a passport stamp at the e-gate. If you need proof of travel later, log in to the FTI-TTP portal to access your travel records.
FTI-TTP works at both arrival and departure e-gates. DigiYatra registration does not transfer to FTI-TTP. They are separate schemes.
Validity, Renewal, and Passport Changes
FTI-TTP membership is valid for 10 years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.
If your passport is renewed, expired, lost, stolen, or damaged, log in to the FTI-TTP portal and update the new passport details. Fresh biometric submission is not required for a passport update.
You can also reapply if your passport is replaced. The 10-year clock resets only with a fresh enrolment, not a passport update.
Common Reasons for Application Delays or Rejection
The Bureau of Immigration may reject or delay applications for the following reasons:
- Incorrect or false information on the application form
- Concealment of material facts during registration
- Document or photo issues — blurred scans, wrong photo background, expired passport copies
- Pending legal cases or law enforcement holds against the applicant
- Failed biometric capture — applicants whose biometrics cannot be captured cannot be enrolled
