This initiative aligns with the recently unveiled UAE Education 2033 Agenda, which aims to position the country among the top 10 in the world for education by 2033. The agenda focuses on delivering world-class education and enhancing student competitiveness both locally and internationally. Achieving this ambitious goal is only possible with exceptional educators who can inspire and lead students to success.
Recognizing this, on World Teachers’ Day, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE announced Golden Visas for outstanding teachers in Dubai’s private education sector, including early childhood centers, schools, and higher education institutions.
Key eligibility criteria include advanced qualifications, research contributions, a proven track record of improving school ratings or student outcomes, and leadership recognition through awards or positive community impact. Nominees must be formally recommended by their institution’s board of governors. A committee will review applications and notify successful candidates.
This move is expected to attract more talented educators from around the world, offering them the enticing opportunity of long-term residency in Dubai with all the benefits of the Golden Visa. It also serves as an incentive and recognition for educators already in Dubai, encouraging them to excel further in their roles with the added reward of potentially earning a Golden Visa.
