Gulf Air flies nonstop from Bahrain to Kuala Lumpur from 29 September 2026, in time for the F1 race at Sepang on 2 to 4 October. From 25 October it runs daily via Singapore, about three hours longer.

The first flight, GF158, leaves Bahrain on Tuesday 29 September 2026 at 23:35 and lands at 12:05 the next day. Gulf Air says Kuala Lumpur is now a permanent destination, not just a race-season route.
Is the Gulf Air flight to Kuala Lumpur nonstop?
Until 23 October, yes, on a Boeing 787-9, in about seven and a half hours. From 25 October the daily flight stops in Singapore on the way in both directions, and the trip takes about ten and a half hours.
Which Gulf Air flights get me to Kuala Lumpur in time for the F1 race?
Flights leaving on 29 and 30 September arrive before the Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang weekend. The 1 October flight lands at 11:50 on 2 October, just before first practice at 12:30, and the 3 October flight lands on race day. See our Sepang F1 guide.
Is it cheaper to fly to Kuala Lumpur with a connection?
For 11 to 19 October, Emirates via Dubai was USD 594 return against USD 718 for the Gulf Air nonstop, but takes over two hours longer each way. In race week, the connecting fares we found topped USD 1,100 return.

How these figures were produced
- Schedules come from a Wego flight search filtered to Gulf Air on each day from 29 September to 15 October, plus 27 October, run on 28 September 2026. A day with no Gulf Air nonstop on sale is left out.
- Gulf Air fares are the cheapest Wego result for one adult in economy. The race-week fare is one way. The only Gulf Air return fare on sale that week cost far more than two one-way fares.
- Other airlines are the cheapest results on the same dates with the whole trip on one airline. Fares move with demand, so treat them as a guide. Check baggage and refund terms on the airline’s own site before you book.
