In practice, no. Singapore’s Hajj quota is allocated through Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) and accredited Hajj travel agents, who book your seat as part of a full package alongside the visa and accommodation.
Two reasons it does not work on your own. First, the Hajj visa is issued only via the Nusuk platform through your MUIS-approved operator, never to walk-up travellers. Second, airlines flying into Jeddah, Madinah or Taif during the Hajj corridor verify visa status at check-in and will deny boarding without it.
Hajj 2026 Schedule and Corridor
Hajj rituals run from 8 to 13 Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH, projected as 25 to 30 May 2026, with the Day of Arafah on 26 May and Eid al-Adha on 27 May. Final dates depend on the Saudi moon-sighting on 29 Dhul Qa’dah.

The post-Hajj departure phase opened on 30 May 2026 and runs through 30 June 2026 across all sending countries under the GACA Kingdom-wide window. Individual return dates within that window are assigned by national Hajj authorities rather than chosen freely by pilgrims.
Madinah-first pilgrims generally depart from Jeddah and vice versa. Singapore’s roughly 900 pilgrims travel as a coordinated group and, per MUIS, depart and return together across three direct Saudia flights, with notifications sent through the same MUIS-coordinated channels.

Saudia (SV) operates Singapore Changi (SIN) to Jeddah (JED), the standard Hajj arrival airport. The route is the carrier of choice for many MUIS-approved Hajj packages, with a Boeing 787 typically deployed.
Singapore Airlines (SQ) suspended its SIN to JED service in March 2026 with no confirmed resumption, leaving Saudia as the only direct option. SQ also does not operate a scheduled service to Madinah, so Madinah-first itineraries route via a one-stop carrier.

Departing From Singapore

- Singapore Changi Airport, Singapore — currently handles direct Saudia services to Jeddah from Terminal 3 (Singapore Airlines’ Jeddah route remains suspended), plus one-stop routings via Dubai, Doha, Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, Kuala Lumpur, Bahrain, Amman and Cairo across Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
MUIS-approved operators typically instruct pilgrims to arrive at Changi at least four hours before departure during the Hajj corridor, given group check-in and Zamzam-related processing.
Arriving in Saudi Arabia

Booking 2026 and Planning 2027
For Hajj 2026, Singapore’s annual quota of roughly 900 pilgrims has been allocated, packages closed, and inbound flights are fully booked or restricted to verified Hajj-visa holders. There is no realistic window to add a 2026 Hajj seat from Singapore at this point.
The practical move is to plan for Hajj 2027. Register interest with MUIS-accredited operators between August and October 2026, lock in the package by early 2027, and let the agent block your flights inside the GACA corridor once Saudi Arabia confirms quotas.
If you want to visit the Haramain in 2026 outside the corridor, look at a post-Hajj Umrah trip from July onwards, when commercial fares to Jeddah and Madinah normalise and tourist or Umrah eVisas are reopened on Nusuk.
Visa and Flight Restrictions
A Nusuk-issued Hajj visa is the only valid entry document for performing Hajj. It is bundled with your MUIS-approved operator’s package, ties you to that operator’s accommodation and movement plan, and cannot be self-applied.
During the Hajj corridor, Saudi Arabia restricts entry to Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah to verified pilgrims. Airlines check visa status against the Tasreeh system at Changi check-in, and tourist eVisa or Umrah visa holders are routinely refused boarding on flights into the three corridor airports.
Common Booking Mistakes
- Booking flights before MUIS confirms your quota slot. Singapore’s Hajj allocation is small, so the operator decides your dates, not the other way around.
- Choosing the wrong arrival city. A Madinah-first package needs a MED arrival; landing in Jeddah forces a costly internal transfer.
- Ignoring Zamzam baggage rules. Pilgrims receive a sealed 5-litre Zamzam allowance on return; loose Zamzam in checked or cabin bags is rejected.
- Cutting the return too tight. Build at least 48 hours between your final Tawaf al-Wada and your outbound flight from JED to Changi.
