The Host a Fan during World Cup 2022 initiative enables the football fans to stay with their friends and relatives during the upcoming football tournament in Qatar. Given the massive volume of fans attending the tournament, this initiative was mainly taken to solve the issue of accommodation in the country.

Who is eligible to take part?
According to official sources, only the citizens and residents of Qatar can host relatives and friends who are visiting for the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
However, for the friends and family members to stay with the host, the host will have to register their accommodation along with their passport numbers and unit details through the Hayya mobile application (Android, iOS) or through the Hayya portal.

Please note that the Hayya card is a fan ID that is mandatory for all local as well as international fans who are attending the FIFA World Cup 2022 matches. For international fans visiting Qatar, the application for the Hayya card is incomplete without accommodation validation.

How many fans can be hosted in the Host a Fan initiative?
As stated by the Hayya portal, a single resident or citizen of Qatar can host up to ten (10) individuals during the tournament. As of now, the option to apply is only through the Hayya mobile application (Android, iOS) or through the Hayya portal.
