Wego now lets you book flights and hotels with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and major stablecoins through its Triple-A crypto payment gateway. Here’s how to book with “Crypto” on Wego.
What You Need Before You Start
Crypto payments on Wego launched in May 2026 through a partnership with Triple-A, a payment gateway licensed in Singapore (MAS), the United States (FinCEN), and France (ACPR).
You can pay with seven options: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDC, USDT, PYUSD, EURC, or your Binance Pay wallet — on Wego’s web, iOS, and Android platforms. All you need is a funded wallet with enough balance to cover the booking plus blockchain network fees.
The availability of cryptocurrency payment services may vary depending on local laws and regulations in certain countries or regions.
How to Pay With Crypto: Step by Step
Ready to pay with crypto on Wego? Follow these simple steps to find your trip, select crypto at checkout, and confirm your booking.
Search and Book as Usual
Open the flights or hotels page, search your trip, and pick the flight or room you want. Make sure to book directly through Wego, not a partner website, to access the crypto payment option.
Continue through to the booking page and fill in passenger or guest details, contact information, and any add-ons.
Select “Crypto” for Payment
On the Wego payment screen, choose “Crypto” from the list of payment options alongside cards and wallets.
Complete Payment on Triple-A
After you select “Crypto”, Wego redirects you to the Triple-A gateway. Choose your coin or wallet, then either scan the QR code with your wallet app or copy the wallet address and exact amount.
Confirm the transaction inside your wallet to send the payment. You have around ~15 minutes before the rate-locked session expires.
Wait for Confirmation
Once the blockchain confirms the transaction, your booking is finalised. You’ll receive an email with your booking reference.
Stablecoin payments usually confirm in under a minute; Bitcoin can take longer in periods of network congestion.
Crypto Payment Rules to Know
- Wego’s fee: No transaction fee on crypto payments. The price displayed at checkout is what’s converted into your chosen coin.
- Network fees: You pay the blockchain gas or miner fee from your wallet, separate from the booking total.
- Rate lock: The crypto-to-fiat exchange rate locks the moment you initiate payment and is held for around 15 minutes. Miss the window, and the session expires. You may need to start the booking again at the new rate.
- Refunds: Approved refunds are returned in crypto to a wallet address you nominate via a secure email link, confirmed with an OTP. The refunded fiat-equivalent may not match what you originally paid because of price fluctuation.
- No chargebacks: Crypto transactions are irreversible once confirmed on-chain. For any issues, you can contact Wego customer support.
