Ramadan 2027 Calendar for Qatar: Your Guide to Qatar Iftar Times

Last updated: Jun 3, 2026

Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin in Qatar on Monday, 8 February 2027, subject to the official moon sighting.

This guide has the full Doha Suhoor and Iftar timetable, plus tips for fasting and getting around Qatar.

When Does Ramadan 2027 Start in Qatar?

Ramadan 1448 AH is expected to start on Monday, 8 February 2027, though the exact date depends on the official moon sighting confirmed by Qatar’s moon-sighting committee. The month usually runs 29 or 30 days.

Because Ramadan 2027 falls in winter, fasting days in Doha are relatively short — roughly 12.5 hours at the start of the month, stretching to just over 13 hours by the final days.

Tips for Fasting and Travelling in Qatar

A few small habits make the month easier in Doha’s coastal climate:

  • Go by the app, not the horizon. Doha’s West Bay towers and the open desert can both throw off when sunset looks like it happens — break your fast on the Maghrib time shown in a prayer-time app.
  • Carry a small Iftar kit. Keeping dates and water in your bag means you can break the fast on time on the Metro, along the Corniche, or in traffic.
  • Leave early before Iftar. Roads are busiest in the half-hour before Maghrib, so plan your commute around the rush.
  • Switch zones at the border. Crossing into Saudi Arabia at Abu Samra shifts Maghrib by a few minutes — update your app to the local area.
  • Eat smart at Suhoor. Slow-release foods and plenty of water make the long day easier to manage.
  • Taraweeh after Isha. Mosques fill for nightly Taraweeh prayers, including Qatar’s State Mosque, Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab.

Qatar marks the month with Iftar tents, Ramadan markets and the children’s Garangao night — see our guide to Ramadan in Qatar for the full experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is Eid al-Fitr 2027 in Qatar?

Eid al-Fitr is expected on or around Tuesday, 9 March 2027, marking the end of Ramadan. The exact day depends on the sighting of the Shawwal moon, so it may shift by a day.

What time is Iftar in Doha during Ramadan 2027?

Iftar (Maghrib) falls around 5:23 PM on the first day and moves to about 5:39 PM by the end of the month. Check the daily timetable above for each date.

Is the Sehri time the same as Imsak?

Not quite. The Sehri times above are the Fajr (dawn) times, when the fast begins. Many people stop eating about ten minutes earlier, at Imsak, as a precaution.

Do Suhoor and Iftar times vary across Qatar?

Only slightly. Qatar is small, so times in Al Wakrah, Al Khor or Al Rayyan differ from Doha by just a minute or two. Use a local prayer-time app for your exact area.
