Temporary Employment Entry pathway

The TEE visa is the first dedicated skilled-work route New Zealand has ever created for Indians. It covers two distinct streams: high-demand skilled occupations and “iconic” Indian professions.

According to Annex 8L of the FTA, the cap of 5,000 refers to the maximum number of TEE visa-holders in New Zealand at any one time — not an annual quota.

Skilled occupation stream (4,400 holders at any one time) covers 13 specified roles across:

Working Holiday Visa for young Indians

The new quota gives 1,000 young Indians per year the right to live, travel and work in New Zealand for up to 12 months.

Per the Indian government’s official briefing, the visa is multiple-entry, meaning holders can leave and re-enter New Zealand during the 12-month validity.

Age: Applicants must be Indian citizens aged 18 to 30, inclusive, at the time of application.
