Domestic air travel has once again experienced a notable upswing in the month of October, Wego can report.

As per data from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, India’s domestic aviation sector has experienced a notable upswing in passenger numbers, with a total of 427,000 passengers recorded as of 8 October 2023, surpassing the previous year’s figure of 381,515 passengers.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has also noted substantial growth in the number of flights compared to the previous year’s data. The domestic aviation sector has seen an increase in the number of flights, totaling 5,853 as of 8 October 2023, which exceeds the figure of 5,397 flights recorded the same period last year.
Amidst India’s domestic aviation sector’s skyrocketing growth, authorities attribute this growth to a positive outlook, progressive policies, and the unwavering confidence of passengers.
