IndiGo‘s Middle East network is running close to normal, with most Gulf and European routes back on regular schedules and seats widely available. Kuwait is the main exception.
IndiGo Middle East Operations: Current Status
IndiGo is operating regular services across the Gulf, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Muscat, Doha, Jeddah and Madinah.
Its Delhi–Istanbul flight runs nonstop, and the London, Amsterdam and Manchester routes operate via adjusted routing. With frequencies largely restored, travelers are unlikely to be left without options.
Kuwait is the exception. IndiGo’s Kuwait services remain suspended while Kuwait International Airport completes repairs and clears foreign carriers to return.
No firm restart date has been confirmed, so confirm your specific flight before traveling. Our Kuwait travel advisory tracks the latest.
How to Check If Your IndiGo Flight Is Operating
Schedules can still shift, so confirm before you go:
- IndiGo app or goindigo.in. Open Manage Booking and enter your PNR. A canceled flight shows a banner with rebook and refund options.
- Wego flight tracker. Check real-time status on Wego’s IndiGo flight tracker to confirm whether your flight number is operating today.
- SMS and email alerts. IndiGo notifies the contact on the booking. If someone else booked for you, check your PNR directly rather than waiting to hear.
Your Options: Refund, Rebook, or Credit
If IndiGo cancels your flight, you are entitled to one of three options regardless of fare type — even on the cheapest non-refundable base fares. This is a DGCA requirement.
The same applies to major schedule changes. A delay of more than 2 hours, or a departure brought forward by more than 1 hour, also entitles you to a full refund or free rebooking on an alternative IndiGo flight, subject to availability.
| Option | What You Get | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Full refund | Complete refund to original payment method, including all taxes and fees | 7 business days (IndiGo processing); credit card refunds may take an additional 5–10 business days from your bank |
| Rebooking | Move to the next available IndiGo flight on the same route at no extra cost after an IndiGo cancellation | Immediate, subject to seat availability |
| Credit shell | IndiGo credit for the full booking value, usable on any future IndiGo flight | Issued within 7 business days; check the expiry date |
How to Get a Refund from IndiGo
Booked directly with IndiGo? Open the app or go to goindigo.in → Manage Booking, enter your PNR, and select Request Refund to your original payment method. Refunds reflect within 7 business days of processing.
Booked through an OTA? File the request with the OTA first, then also request directly from IndiGo with your PNR. OTA refunds are slower because the money passes through an intermediary, and can take 2–4 weeks. If an OTA stalls beyond 15 days, file a complaint on AirSewa, DGCA’s passenger grievance portal.
Employer-booked ticket? The refund goes to whoever paid, so confirm with your HR or travel team that they are requesting it and that any rebooking is covered.
Rebooking Your IndiGo Flight
If IndiGo cancels or reschedules your flight, the fastest route is the airline’s Plan B tool. It lets you change the date or time, or cancel for a refund, at no extra cost. You qualify if your flight is canceled, brought forward by 1 hour or more, or postponed by 2 hours or more.
To rebook, go to goindigo.in → Manage Booking or use the app, enter your PNR and select Change Flight. There is no extra charge to move to the next available flight on the same route after an IndiGo cancellation. Voluntary changes remain subject to standard fees and fare differences.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get a refund on a non-refundable IndiGo fare?
Yes. When IndiGo cancels a flight, all fare types are eligible for a full refund — including the cheapest base fares that are normally non-refundable. This is a DGCA requirement, not a goodwill gesture.
Are IndiGo’s Middle East flights operating now?
Yes. IndiGo is running regular services to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Muscat, Doha, Jeddah and Madinah. Kuwait is the exception, with services still suspended while the airport reopens to foreign carriers. Confirm your specific flight before heading to the airport.
I booked through an OTA — who do I contact?
Start with the OTA, but also request the refund directly from IndiGo using your PNR at goindigo.in. OTA refunds are slower because the money passes through an intermediary. If the OTA does not process within 15 days, file an AirSewa complaint.
My employer booked my ticket. Can I get the refund myself?
No — the refund goes to the original payment method, which is your employer’s account. Talk to your company’s HR or travel department to confirm they are requesting it.
Can I fly another airline and get IndiGo to pay the difference?
IndiGo is not obligated to rebook you on another carrier, as it has no interline agreements. If you book with another airline, that is at your own cost — but you can use your IndiGo refund to fund the new booking.
