To symbolize the program’s significance, Jokowi presented the first Golden Visa to Shin Tae-Yong, the coach of the Indonesian national football team.
To qualify for a five-year Golden Visa, individual investors establishing businesses in Indonesia must invest a minimum of USD 2.5 million, while a ten-year visa requires a USD 5 million investment. Corporate investors are subject to higher thresholds of USD 25 million and 50 million, respectively.
For those not starting businesses, investment in Indonesian government bonds or public stocks is required. A USD 350,000 investment secures a five-year visa, while a USD 700,000 investment qualifies for a ten-year visa.
