It sits 1.1 km from the centre of the old city, which in Fatih terms means you are inside the sightseeing rather than commuting to it. The 8.8 from 1,591 guests is the part that makes the price interesting — that is not the score of a hotel getting away with something. Grand Armada is an outlier on geography and nothing else. It sits 19 km west of the historic centre — the far side of Istanbul from Sultanahmet — and still pulled 585 clicks, up 35% on June. Rixos Tersane sits on the old shipyards of the Golden Horn and carries the highest guest score in this top ten: 9.4 from 1,716 reviews. Clicks are up 69% on June, second only to Hilton Bomonti, which is unusual movement for a property asking $682 a night. Pera Bosphorus is the list’s single decliner: 307 clicks in June, 261 in July, down 15% in a month when the city as a whole rose 19%. Radisson Blu Şişli climbed from 118 clicks in June to 192 in July, the third-steepest rise on this list. At $205 for the September weekend against a $158 30-day average, you are paying a 30% premium for the timing. What sits underneath it is genuinely good: 8.8 from 7,065 guests, an indoor pool and an outdoor one, a spa, a gym and a business centre, 6 km north of the old city. This is the corporate end of Şişli — closer to a conference than to a carpet shop, which for a certain kind of trip is exactly the point.
