ITA Airways to Launch New Rome-Riyadh Flight Route Starting 2 June 2024

This development is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts, as outlined in “Vision 2030,” to position the Kingdom as a global logistics hub. The introduction of regular flights aims to facilitate smoother travel and foster economic and cultural exchanges between the two nations.

During the recent “Future Investment Initiative” conference in Riyadh, the Italian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Roberto Cantone, emphasized the growing partnership between Rome and Riyadh. The bolstered air links came after a favorable assessment by an Italian delegation led by the Italian Commercial Attaché during their visit last November.

The delegation commended Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector potential and praised the ambitious initiatives of the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation. Furthermore, the delegation stressed the importance of strengthened partnerships and collaboration to support the significant transformations underway in Saudi Arabia’s aviation and air navigation services.
