Kuwaiti budget airline, Jazeera Airways, has announced its plans to establish a new carrier in Saudi Arabia. The decision to create a separate unit in the Kingdom was recently approved by Jazeera Airways’ Board of Directors. The financial impact of this move is uncertain and will be determined once the establishment and operating licenses are finalized.

This strategic move aligns with the airline’s recent expansion in Saudi Arabia, a flourishing tourist hub. In 2022, Jazeera Airways launched flights to three new cities in the Kingdom due to the exponential growth in demand for flights. These cities are Hail and Abha, launched in July, and Buraydah, launched in August.

We will update this article as more details about the new carrier are announced.
