Kids Dine and Stay for Free in Qatar This Summer Under the Hala Summer 2026 Campaign

Children under 12 can stay, eat, and play for free at participating venues across Qatar from 1 May to 30 September 2026.

That’s the headline offer from Visit Qatar’s new Kids Go Free campaign, part of the country’s annual Hala Summer season.

If you’ve been eyeing a family holiday to Doha but kept putting it off, this five-month window of freebies might be your cue to book.

What Does Kids Go Free Actually Cover?

The deal spans hotels, restaurants, attractions, tours, and entertainment venues. Here’s what’s included, according to Visit Qatar:

Free hotel stays: More than 100 hotels and resorts across Qatar are participating. Up to two children can stay at no extra cost when sharing their parents’ room.
Free dining: One child eats free from the kids’ menu at participating restaurants and hotel dining outlets when accompanied by a paying adult.
Free attraction entry: Selected theme parks, waterparks, museums, and cultural venues offer one free child ticket with every paid adult ticket.
Free tours: Desert safaris, cultural experiences, and marine activities from participating partners, some at no additional cost for kids.
Buy-two-get-one-free deals: At select parks and entertainment venues, buy two tickets and get a third free for a child under 12.

The offer works on a 1:1 basis, for every one paying adult, one child under 12 benefits.

Travelling with two kids? Two paying adults unlock two free kids. There’s no cap on the number of adults or children per booking.

Who Can Use the Offer?

Both visitors and residents of Qatar are eligible, according to the official campaign page. You don’t need to be an international tourist to take advantage of it.

The child must be under 12 years old and accompanied by a paying adult. Individual venues may have their own terms on top of the core offer, so it’s worth checking with your hotel or attraction directly.

How to Unlock the Deals: The Visit Qatar Wallet

You’ll access most of the offers through the Visit Qatar Wallet, a digital voucher system tied to your hotel booking. Here’s how it works, per Marhaba Qatar:

Book a stay at a participating hotel
At check-in, you’ll receive a QR code
Scan it to activate your Visit Qatar Wallet
Vouchers for dining, attractions, and activities load into the wallet automatically
Each voucher is one-time use per vendor

Some venues also offer prepaid credit bundles with bonus credit you can spend across dining, retail, and activities within that location. Priority access at certain attractions lets families skip the queue too.

Booking With Flexibility: The Zero Risk Policy

Participating hotels and Qatar Airways offer a zero-risk booking framework. According to Visit Qatar, you can modify or cancel your booking free of charge within 24–48 hours before departure or check-in.

Individual partner terms apply, so read the fine print when booking. But the intent is clear — Qatar wants to remove the “what if plans change” hesitation that stops families from committing to summer travel.

What Else Is Happening During Hala Summer 2026?

The Kids Go Free campaign is just one piece of a packed five-month events calendar that Qatar Tourism has put together. Here are some highlights your kids will actually care about:

Qatar Toy Festival — returning to the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre from 1–31 July, spanning 22,000+ sqm across four halls. It’s the largest edition yet.
Minecraft World — an immersive attraction for fans of the game
Colorverse — an interactive, colourful experience
Fontana Circus — live circus performances
Sneaker Con Doha — for the older kids (and sneaker-obsessed parents)
Hot Wheels Speed City — rides, interactive zones, and live entertainment
Meryal Waterpark on Qetaifan Island — perfect for beating the summer heat

Shopping malls across Doha — including Doha Festival City, Mall of Qatar, Villaggio, Place Vendôme, and Doha Mall — will host live performances, character appearances, and activations throughout the season. A summer sales festival is also planned for August.
