Terminal 1, also known as the Main Terminal Building (MTB) or KLIA Main, is the central hub of Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Situated between the two runways, it features 216 check-in counters on six islands labeled A to M, excluding I.
The terminal offers multi-check-in services for all passengers, including those arriving, departing, or in transit. Self-check-in facilities have been available since 2007, with KLM being the first airline to utilize the common-use self-service kiosks.
The Contact Pier, an extension of the main terminal, houses gates prefixed with A and B for domestic departures and G and H for international flights.
