Kuwait Airspace and Airport Status: Current Flights and Restrictions (September 2026)

Last updated: Sep 7, 2026

Kuwait International Airport has published September flight schedules, including services to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Schedules remain subject to regional airspace restrictions and individual cancellations.

Current flight operations

Kuwait Airways uses Terminal 4. Individual flights can still be rescheduled or cancelled. See our Kuwait Airways flight status guide for the latest.

Jazeera Airways uses Terminal 5. Route-specific information is covered in our Jazeera Airways flight status guide.

The airport timetable lists daily Kuwait–Sharjah Air Arabia ABY122 departures at 18:15 through 30 September 2026 and daily Kuwait–Abu Dhabi Air Arabia Abu Dhabi ADY023 departures at 18:35 through 24 October 2026. Times are local. These are scheduled services, not confirmation of seats or completed flights on a particular date.

Terminal assignments for foreign carriers should be taken from the booking; the current status of Terminal 1 was not independently confirmed. Compare flights to Kuwait and hotels in Kuwait City on Wego, but confirm any booking directly with your airline before travelling.

Current airspace restrictions

EASA’s 31 August advisory advises covered operators to avoid maritime airspace over the Persian Gulf except for necessary arrivals and departures, and to exercise caution over land. It is valid until 30 September 2026 unless reviewed earlier; it is not a declaration that Kuwait’s airport is closed.

Short-notice closures and diversions remain possible while the situation continues. The official live departures page returned no flight rows during the 7 September check, so this article does not confirm which flights actually departed today.
