GCC Residents

Residents of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar can apply for a Kuwait e-Visa if they hold a valid GCC residence permit with at least 6 months remaining.

Since 10 August 2025, GCC residents can also get a tourist visa on arrival regardless of profession, as long as their residency has at least 6 months of validity.

Citizens of GCC member states themselves do not need a visa to enter Kuwait and can use their national ID.

Note: Citizens of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, and Yemen are not eligible for the e-Visa even with GCC residency and must apply at a Kuwaiti embassy or consulate.

Work and residence permits are not issued through the e-Visa portal.

Can Indian and Pakistani passport holders apply for a Kuwait e-Visa?

Indian and Sri Lankan citizens are not on the standard 53-country e-Visa list, but they can apply through the portal as GCC residents if they hold a valid residence permit in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, or Oman and meet the e-Visa eligibility requirements. Pakistani and Bangladeshi citizens, however, are explicitly excluded from the e-Visa system even with GCC residency, and must apply at a Kuwaiti embassy or consulate.
