To maintain the current progress of COVID cases and keep the further transmission of coronavirus in check the government has imposed rules and regulations on travellers arriving in Maharashtra and strong precautions still need to be taken if you are planning to travel to the state.

International arrivals

Entry and testing requirements

According to the latest guidelines, all international travellers arriving in Maharashtra, irrespective of their nationality and vaccination status, should follow the given guidelines:

  1. Submit complete and factual information in the self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal- https://www.newdelhiairport.in/airsuvidha including travel details of the last 14 days. Keep this handy on your phone or on paper. 
  2. Upload a negative RT-PCR test report conducted within 72 hours before undertaking the journey or two-dose vaccination completed COVID-19 vaccine certificate in the self-declaration form. Only travellers from certain countries can upload either the negative test result or vaccine certificate on the Air Suvidha form. Travellers from other countries must mandatorily upload the negative RT-PCR test result for entry to India. 
  3. Submit a declaration (while submitting the self-declaration form on Air Suvidha) with respect to the authenticity of the report and will be liable for criminal prosecution if found otherwise.
  4. Give an undertaking through concerned airlines before flying to India that you would abide by the decision of the appropriate government authority any post-arrival requirement to undergo home/institutional quarantine/ self-health monitoring, as warranted.

Quarantine requirements

Travellers are not required to quarantine themselves on arrival in India. Instead of the earlier mandated quarantine of 7 days, travellers must self-monitor their health for 14 days.

All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App

It is mandatory for passengers arriving in Mumbai from other states/UT to carry a negative RT-PCR which will have to be issued from up to a maximum of 72 hours before the time of arrival into Mumbai. RT-PCR timeline starts from the report issuance time. Passenger not in possession of the same shall be denied boarding at the origin station.

Passengers in possession of the final vaccination certificate, i.e., those who have taken both doses shall be exempted from the pre-departure RT-PCR requirement

Quarantine requirements

Symptomatic passengers shall be sent to the nearest COVID Care Center. There is no quarantine & hand stamping for asymptomatic passenger.
