The visa-free scheme, which is also available to Chinese nationals, has been extended for them as well until 31 December 2026.
Datuk Awang Alik Jeman, Secretary-General of Malaysia’s Home Ministry, stated that the extension aligns with Malaysia’s preparations for the 2025 ASEAN chairmanship and the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign.
