Oman family visit visa 2024 rules & requirements

Rules

Here are the rules that you should observe before getting the Oman family visit visa:

The expatriate spouse must hold a senior position according to GCC standards.
Reside in a rental property either in their name or their employer’s name.
Receive a monthly salary of at least RO 600.
For an Omani national’s foreign wife: provide a marriage certificate authenticated by the embassy of her home country, the Oman Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a Ministry of Interior certificate validating the marriage.

Documents required

Below are the requirements for the Oman family visit visa:

Two passport-sized photographs (6×4 cm)
Copy of the foreigner’s passport, valid for at least 6 months
Copy of the specimen signature sheet from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (for private sector)
Original and copy of a medical certificate approved by the Ministry of Health for adults from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Syria, and Nepal
Copy of a form approved by the Ministry of Manpower detailing the employee’s job title and salary, or a bank statement showing monthly salary transfers for at least six months
If the foreign employee is bringing their spouse, include a copy of the marriage certificate authenticated by the Oman Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Copy of the residential lease agreement or proof of residence
For the wife of an Omani national, include the Ministry of Interior’s approval, authenticated marriage certificate, and a copy of the valid identity card.

Bring all the necessary documents to apply for the family visit visa
Visit the nearest ROP (Royal Oman Police) Visa Service.
Submit all the needed documents to the ROP Visa Service.

Oman family visit visa application process – online

The online application process requires the user to:

Fill up and submit the Online Visa Application Form
Complete the online payment process
Print the completed form
Take the printed form enclosed with the required documents to the nearest ROP Visa office.

Oman family visit visa validity

Oman family visit visa is valid for two years from the date of stamping on the holder’s passport with multiple entries.

Once the family visa expires, you need to either renew it or register the residence permit once again. If this is not done, a fine of 50 Omani riyals per month will be applicable.
