Do UAE residents need an Oman visa?

The visa requirements for UAE residents depend on whether they are Emirati nationals. Nationals of the UAE may enter Oman visa-free at any border port, by road or by air, and can stay in the country for up to 14 days. However, please note that they will be required to show a confirmed hotel booking, health insurance, and a return ticket.

Oman visa on arrival for UAE residents

Oman discontinued issuing visas on arrival in 2019, irrespective of residency and citizenship. As a result, travellers who are not nationals of UAE or any GCC country will need to apply for an entry visa before flying to Oman.

Oman visas for UAE residents cost

UAE residents who are Emirati nationals do not require an Oman visa and may visit Oman free of cost. However, those who require a visa will incur a cost of AED 47.70 (USD 12.92).
