Saudi passport renewal online

If you’re looking to renew your Saudi passport online, you can do so by visiting Absher platform. Follow the steps below to start the renewal process.

For Saudi Arabian citizens, they can renew their passports via the Absher platform by following the steps below:

login to the Absher portal
go to ‘My Services’
select ‘Passports’
select ‘Renew Saudi Passport’
select the name of the person whose passport you want to renew
complete the required information
pay the required fees
hand over your old passport to receive the new one through the ‘Wasel’ service offered by the Saudi Post

Requirements to renew passport on Absher platform:

your old passport
payment of any traffic violations (if any)
your fingerprint and a photo
you must be within Saudi Arabia during the renewal request
the Saudi passport renewal service covers the applicant (single/ head of household) along with his family members as follows:
- male family member (under 21 years of age and not married)
- female (under 21 years of age)
- a national ID is a must for family members aged between 12 to less than 21 years old

With the new passport renewal system, now you can receive the passport via the postal carrier or passport offices. You can also activate the passport through land, air and sea travel ports or passport offices, with the requirement to bring the previous passport for examination.

Passport renewal with DFA

DFA passport appointment is a system launched by the DFA to ensure the most seamless and convenient passport application services for eligible Philippine nationals. Applicants are able to set up an appointment from any part of the world as long as there is a Philippine embassy or consulate providing passport for release services. The services available are new passport issuance, passport renewal, and loss of passport.

You are required to secure your appointment online before visiting the nearest DFA satellite. Please follow the steps below to schedule the appointment:

visit the DFA website
choose the DFA office you wish to visit
choose your preferred date and time
fill out the form with all the necessary information
select the intended service (new application, renewal, or loss of passport)
pay the fees

Please note that the paid fees are non-refundable, so make sure you show up on the chosen date at the DFA office. If it is not possible for you to attend the appointment, you may request a reschedule.

Passport renewal processing time in Saudi Arabia

The estimated time for the renewal passport in Saudi Arabia is around 6-8 weeks following encoding at the embassy. Some embassies will deliver the renewed passport to you if you live within the geographic areas of Riyadh, Jeddah, Dhahran, Hail, and Qassim. It will approximately take only 24 hours for the renewed passport to arrive at your doorstep.

Passport renewal fee in Saudi Arabia

Through the Absher platform, passport renewal will cost around SAR 300 for 5 years passport and SAR 600 for 10 years passport. For the renewal through the embassies, the cost will vary from country to country, and it might cost you around SAR 100 to SAR 500.
