Following the outbreak of a new Covid-19 variant, Omicron, the PCR test report now holds much more importance as it has been made mandatory for fully vaccinated air passengers and the passengers who have recently recovered from COVID infection must present, before boarding their flight to Bahrain, to present a certificate with a negative result for a PCR test administered within 72 hours of their departure.
The fully vaccinated as well as the unvaccinated arrivals in Bahrain are also required to undergo an on-arrival PCR test after they arrive in the Kingdom.

How much do COVID tests in Bahrain cost?
Since the PCR testing takes place in private facilities, there is no fixed price for the test. Kindly contact your respective health centres to know about their prices for the PCR test.
However, the PCR testing fee for travellers who are required to undergo an on-arrival PCR test in Bahrain is BHD 12 (approximately USD 32).
Additionally, the on-arrival, day 5 and day 10 PCR tests are subject to a fee of BHD 36 (approximately $96). The sum has to be paid prior to arrival through the official BeAware Bahrain App, or through the Bahrain eGovernment Portal on bh.bh/covidpay, or upon arrival at a designated airport kiosk, where card and cash payments are accepted.
