Starting 1 July 2026, all Philippine passport applications and renewals in the UAE will be handled directly by the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.
The two VFS-run ePassport Renewal Centers (PaRC) — at World Trade Center in Abu Dhabi and Wafi Mall in Dubai — stop operating on 30 June 2026.
What’s changing on 1 July
From 1 July, the embassy and consulate are the only places to apply for or renew a Philippine passport in the UAE, according to the missions’ official announcement.
- Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafrah residents: apply at the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
- Dubai and Northern Emirates residents: apply at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.

How to book an appointment
You must book a slot through the Philippine Embassy Global Online Appointment System (GOAS) before visiting, as walk-ins are not accepted for ePassport renewal.
Book early. Appointments can fill up months ahead, so the embassy advises renewing well before your passport expires.
Fees, requirements and processing time
At the embassy and consulate, an adult ePassport renewal costs AED 240, paid at the mission’s cashier on the day of your appointment. A lost, damaged or frequently lost passport carries a higher fee of AED 600.
Booking a GOAS appointment is itself free of charge. Anyone selling appointment slots is a “fixer,” and the missions ask the public to report them.
For a standard adult renewal, you need to bring:
- Your confirmed GOAS online appointment — book it at abudhabipe.dfa.gov.ph/goas
- The printed, accomplished GOAS passport application form
- Your current ePassport, plus a photocopy of the data page
- The AED 240 passport fee
PSA-issued documents are only required in specific cases — for example, a PSA marriage certificate if a married woman is adopting her spouse’s surname, or an annotated birth or marriage certificate if entries have changed. Lost or damaged passports need extra documents, such as a police report and a notarised affidavit of loss.
Processing usually takes around 5 to 8 weeks. You can check when your passport is ready through the e-Passport Release tab on the embassy or consulate website, and you must bring your old passport and receipt when you collect it.
Collecting passports previously processed by VFS
Any passport processed by VFS PaRC on or before 30 June — including unclaimed ones — can be collected from the embassy or consulate from 1 July onward.
If your renewed passport is already ready, claim it as soon as you can.
